Job summary

A leading company in the drilling industry is seeking a laboratory technician to perform quality control inspections and operate analytical equipment. The role involves maintaining records, ensuring safety protocols, and supporting laboratory analyses. Candidates should have a diploma in Life Science or related fields, with proficiency in analytical instruments and MS Office applications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on products and raw materials including dimension and visual inspections.
• Operate Scanning Acoustic Microscopy and Laser Profiler.
• Assist with sample preparation for physical analysis.

Job description

Description of Responsibilities and Duties:

1) Responsible to perform inspection for product and raw material, which included: dimension, density, weighting, visual inspection.

2) Operate Scanning Acoustic Microscopy machine to perform C-scan inspection.

3) Operate Laser Profiler to conduct pent target profiling

4) Maintain and ensure all measurements equipment and tools calibration are up to date

5) Maintain reserve sample records, transferring documents and disposition of samples

6) Maintain system transaction and data recording of all incoming sample for QA and Lab

7) Assist lab personnel in prepare samples for physical analysis (Gas, SEM, PSD, Tap density and hardness) according to procedure and requirements

8) Support laboratory on physical analysis activities, which included: Gas, SEM, PSD, Tap density and hardness.

9) Follow and ensure strict safety and PM procedures and safety checks all activities in laboratory

10) Maintaining workplace cleanliness and 5S practically

Knowledge:

• Fundamental chemistry and physics knowledge (eg: understand periodic table)

Requirements

• At least a NITEC/Diploma in Life Science or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Preferred prior experience in QC lab in manufacturing environment
Prior experience in operating analytical instruments and SAP

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 8:45 PM
