Job summary

A valve engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified professional to manage technical and quality assurance aspects of valves and valve packages across project disciplines. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and ensuring compliance with various standards while managing the manufacturing processes. The position requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 6–15 years of relevant experience in valve QA/QC or engineering. A valid EA license is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct TBE and vendor evaluations for various types of valves.
  • Review vendor data such as ITPs and pressure test procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with API 6D, API 598, ASME VIII, IEC, and project specifications.
  • Perform various witness testing including hydrotest and functional tests.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes across different stages.
  • Manage deviations, concessions, and corrective actions.

Role Purpose

Office based role, manages the technical and quality assurance aspects of valves and valve packages across all project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct TBE and vendor evaluations for manual valves, control valves, ESDVs, MOVs, and safety valves.
  • Review vendor data such as ITPs, pressure test procedures, actuator sizing, MTCs.
  • Ensure compliance with API 6D, API 598, ASME VIII, IEC, and project specifications.
  • Perform witness testing: hydrotest, seat leak test, functional/actuation tests.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes including casting, machining, assembly, and coating.
  • Manage deviations, concessions, and corrective actions.
