Job summary

A leading company in the food industry is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and quality assurance protocols. The successful candidate will manage monitoring processes, conduct tests, and prepare reports, contributing significantly to maintaining high product quality and safety standards. Candidates should have at least a Diploma in a relevant field and 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure production staff consistently adhere to GMP and hygiene standards
• Prepare and conduct sensory evaluation of finished goods samples
• Assist in raw material batching and pre-weighing verification; report any non-compliance immediately to the Superior/Manager
• Compile and submit daily QC reports, ensuring accuracy of all submitted information
• Monitor operational compliance with food safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Conduct internal swab tests on equipment, hands, and packaging to verify hygiene compliance
• Perform in-house environmental air testing
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for air, water, and surface swab testing (equipment, hands, packaging)
• Monitor and report pest activity to uphold hygiene standards in both warehouse and production areas
• Manage pest control measures on-site
• Conduct sampling of raw materials for testing
• Assist in preparing for and participating in second- and third-party audits
• Ensure all required documentation is completed and in place prior to production start
• Support in-line production checks on Critical Control Points (CCPs), Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs), and Finished Product Checks (FOC); escalate any issues to the Superior/Manager
• Verify proper usage of raw materials, packaging, stenciling information, and adherence to changeover/flush-out procedures
• Ensure collection of finished goods samples and verify correct sample collection by production staff
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Superior/Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in a relevant field of study
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role; food industry experience is a strong advantage
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong teamwork
