Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform quality inspections on raw materials, components and assemblies to ensure compliance with standards. You will read engineering drawings, use precision measuring instruments and prepare inspection reports.

Requirements include a Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing disciplines; experience is a plus. Working hours include day shift 8:30 AM–5:30 PM and night shift 8:30 PM–5:30 AM with overtime paid at 1.5x;

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Candidates with relevant quality inspection or manufacturing experience will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, components, manufactured parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, first-piece, first-article and final inspections.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure product conformity.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records and non-conformance reports.
• Identify, document and report quality defects or discrepancies for corrective action.
• Verify relevant documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established requirements.
• Work closely with internal departments, suppliers and customers to resolve quality-related issues when required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure compliance with workplace safety and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overtime may be required and is paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.

Shift allowance and overtime allowance are provided, where applicable.

Salary

Up to $28000 (depending on experience)
