Post 1: Quality Engineer-In-Process Quality
Oversee and execute internal quality assurance activities within the manufacturing plant, ensuring that all processes, products, and systems comply with company standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations.
Responsible for monitoring in-process quality, conducting inspections and audits, managing non-conformities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintaining a robust internal quality framework, supports operational excellence, minimizes defects, and enhances overall product reliability and customer satisfaction.
In-Process Quality Monitoring
- Conduct inspections and audits during various stages of PWB production
- Ensure adherence to work instructions, process parameters, and quality standards
- Identify and document non-conformities and initiate corrective actions
Defect Analysis & Resolution
- Investigate internal quality issues using root cause analysis techniques
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective/preventive actions
- Track recurring defects and support continuous improvement initiatives
Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly internal quality performance reports
- Support internal quality reviews and management reporting
Process Control & Compliance
- Monitor compliance with IPC-A-600, ISO 9001, and internal quality procedures
- Ensure proper handling and disposition of non-conforming materials and products
- Participate in internal audits and support audit readiness activities
- Provide guidance to operators and technicians on quality standards and inspection techniques
- Promote quality awareness and best practices across the plant floor
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, production, and QA teams to resolve quality issues
- Support new product introduction (NPI) with quality input and validation
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality Printed Wiring Boards that meet customer specifications and industry standards by managing quality assurance processes and serving as the primary liaison for customer service accounts.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement, resolving quality-related customer issues, and upholding compliance with regulatory and internal quality systems to enhance customer satisfaction and product reliability.
Customer Quality Liaison
- Act as the primary contact for customer quality-related inquiries and complaints
- Coordinate resolution of customer issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
Quality Control Oversight
- Monitor inspection and testing procedures are followed
- Monitor product conformance to IPC and customer-specific standards
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal QMS protocols
- Prepare and submit quality reports to customers and internal stakeholders
Process Improvement
- Identify recurring quality issues and lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes
- Support implementation of Problem-Solving methodologies
Audit & Review
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Ensure readiness for customers and regulatory inspection
Training & Support
- Provide guidance to production teams on quality standards and procedures
- Assist in onboarding new staff with QA related training
- Support new product introduction (NPI) with quality input and validation
Requirements
- Degree in any Engineering discipline (Quality Engineering preferred) in a manufacturing environment
- Min 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance activities/operational
- Good communication, report writing and presentation skills
- Good analytical skills with ability to work effectively
- Independent, decisive and good at problem solving
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred with knowledge of PWB manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
