Job summary

A leading semiconductor manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop and maintain quality assurance strategies within their operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree and at least 2 years’ experience in quality management, along with a solid understanding of ISO standards. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing quality issues, and participating in audits to ensure compliance. Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Management System, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 is a plus.
  • Experience in Photonics or Optical industry is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance strategies and programs.
  • Lead investigations for non-conforming products and customer complaints.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure product quality.
  • Manage quality issues from suppliers and customers.

Job description
Job Objective/s

Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing development and production phases of DenseLight manufacturing operations to meet customer requirements.

Assist in implementing, coordinating, training, monitoring and administering the QMS Program within DenseLight

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system and/or perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of products, partially assembled or finished products. Ensure to accurately document the results of the inspections and testing done during incoming, outgoing and in-process inspection.
  • Develop and maintain system and/or perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products (including NPI parts) according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements.
  • Lead and/or participate in problem solving investigation for non-conforming products, including in-house issues and customer complaints / RMA.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor or manager.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify and monitor other departments’ Masterlist of records to ensure integrity of data.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
  • Assist the QA manager in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible in managing to resolve all quality issues coming from suppliers.
  • Responsible in managing to resolve all quality issues coming from customers.
  • Conduct in-process audit to ensure compliance by the operations.
  • Actively participate in internal quality system audit.
  • Performs other tasks as may be required by immediate superior
Minimum Education

Bachelor Degree

Minimum Experience

At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Management System, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Product/Quality Engineering in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing.

Specific Knowledge / Skills
  • Have a good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality management System. Knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 is a plus.
  • Have a good understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
  • Be able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
  • Be able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance to set standard.
  • Have a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
  • Familiarity with quality cost concepts, FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC, MSA and other quality tools & technique
  • Working knowledge in RoHS, REACH, Conflict of minerals, UL, CE and other industry compliance standard.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Optical / Semiconductor industry specifications/codes/standards
  • Experience in Photonics / Optical industry is preferable
