General Accountabilities
- Safety and ISO14001 Environmental Accountability – ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace following company rules and procedures.
- Safety & Health Accountability – observe all safety programs, training, and SOPs to perform work tasks safely.
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Accountability – adhere to GMP rules and procedures at all times.
- SOP/SWI Compliance – apply Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work Instructions in daily operations.
- Code of Ethics – comply with the BD Code of Ethics at all times.
- Incident Reporting – report incidents, accidents, near‑misses, and deviations from plan and participate in investigations when required.
- Quality Incident Reporting – report quality incidents, near‑misses, and non‑conformances from SOPs or specifications and participate in investigations.
Operational Tasks
- Incoming Material Inspection – perform visual, graphical, and dimensional inspections; verify COC, COA, test reports, and related documentation against purchase specifications and drawings; ensure inspections comply with GDP, GMP, and established SOPs; complete within required lead times; flag abnormalities immediately and escalated when necessary.
- Supplier Feedback & Material Release Coordination – communicate discrepancies in incoming material documentation or products to suppliers promptly; provide clear, accurate, and timely feedback; ensure all discrepancies are addressed before release; highlight delays that may impact production; maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
- Non‑Conformance Handling – handle non‑conforming materials per the Non‑Conformance Product Handling Procedure; assist supplier goods defect verification via sampling and data collection.
- Quality Notification & Material Control – raise QN, quarantine defective materials, and block segregation to prevent unauthorized use; release materials only after verification confirms no quality issues.
- Record Keeping & Audit Support – maintain accurate, traceable inspection records in compliance with ISO/QMS standards; support audits, customer inquiries, and internal reviews.
- Prioritization & Quality Decision‑Making – prioritize inspections based on production urgency, criticality, and operational needs; apply risk‑based thinking for borderline or sample‑based evaluations; maintain high accuracy in measurements, documentation, and reporting.
- Database & SAP Reporting – update incoming database daily and generate weekly SAP reports to ensure all inspection lots are properly captured.
- Internal Coordination – coordinate with internal teams for sample collection and urgent releases; communicate promptly to avoid delays and escalated material issues that may affect release timelines.
- Improvement Initiatives & Supplier Qualification Projects – participate in supplier qualification projects and contribute to Kaizen initiatives to optimize workflow and processes.
Supporting Tasks
- Shift Communication – attend daily shift change meetings to communicate inspection progress, issues, and priorities.
- Continuous Improvement & Tool Support – participate in continuous improvement initiatives; identify opportunities to enhance work processes, inspection methods, and workflow efficiency; support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools.
- Sorting & Rework Activities – oversee sorting and rework activities; record and file all related data accurately.
- Additional Responsibilities – perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the reporting manager; adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment and support urgent inspection requests.
Qualifications
- Minimum O levels or equivalent.
- Competency assessment in accordance with assigned work tasks.
- Ability to understand and use SAP and Microsoft Outlook.
