Job summary

ALPHA X Technology PTE. LTD. seeks a Software Engineer to help design and implement data pipelines and BI processes within the semiconductor manufacturing domain. The role involves managing Oracle-based data environments and delivering end-to-end BI from ingestion to visualization, on-site at a partner facility.

You will work with Python to build APIs, develop data models, ETL workflows, and collaborate with BI developers to produce Power BI dashboards and KPI reports for manufacturing analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data engineering, data integration, or BI development.
• Proficient in Python for data extraction, APIs, and JSON manipulation.
• Strong data warehousing, schema design, and ETL best practices.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and stored procedures.
• Proficiency with ETL tools (Pentaho Kettle, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
• Experience building Power BI (or Tableau/Qlik) reports and dashboards.
• Knowledge of SQL pipelines, data validation, and replication tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based apps and APIs to deliver JSON data.
• Create robust data models for querying and reporting.
• Define relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns/measures.
• Build ETL workflows for manufacturing data (ERP, MES, SPC, FDC).
• Implement database logic including PL/SQL scripts and stored procedures.
• Develop staging schemas, data validation, and transformation logic.
• Create data marts and dimensional models for analytics.
• Collaborate with BI developers to deliver Power BI dashboards and KPI reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across source systems.
• Support data governance, documentation, and performance tuning.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality data delivery.
