Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a Python-focused developer to design and implement scalable modules, leading end-to-end delivery within a fintech trading environment. The role involves integration via middleware like AvroKafka, database design, and deploying on OpenShift through CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with support, developers, and product owners to ensure successful releases, with flexibility for extra hours and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Qualifications

• Degree in computing/science/engineering is preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience in fintech or financial services.
• Experience supporting trading desks and Agile/Scrum.
• Strong troubleshooting for two- and multi-tier apps.
• Experience in first-line app support for trading systems and back offices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly complex, scalable Python modules.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery against timelines and requirements.
• Analyze requirements; suggest alternatives; integrate apps using middleware like Avro/Kafka and DB design.
• Deploy apps to OpenShift via CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with support, developers and product owners to ensure releases.
• Be flexible to work extra hours to meet goals.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
