Job summary

BAH Partners in Singapore is seeking a Desk Developer (Python) to work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts, building data-driven research and investment tools. The role emphasizes Python development for data ingestion, analytics, and lightweight UI solutions, with opportunities to apply AI tooling and LLMs to enhance research workflows and decisions.

Experience in commodities or financial markets is valued but not essential; Mandarin is highly preferred, though non-Mandarin speakers

Qualifications

• Direct experience as a Python or Quantitative Developer (roughly 3–15 years).
• Advancing Python programming skills with a commercial mindset.
• Comfortable working with investment professionals and business stakeholders.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and own problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Work extensively with Python on the desk with the business.
• Build data ingestion, research and analytics platforms for the investment team.
• Develop internal tools and lightweight UI solutions from research ideas to production.
• Apply LLMs and AI tooling to improve research workflows.
• Partner closely with PMs and Analysts in a fast-moving, commercial environment.
