Job summary

A leading procurement company in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing processes for indirect materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in related fields and at least 2 years' experience in an EMS environment, preferably with semiconductor materials. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are required. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
  • Able to start work at short notice is preferred.

Job description

Job Description:
  • Manage the purchasing process for indirect materials and services, including issuing purchase orders and handling documentation.

  • Review purchase requisitions, comparing lead times, MOQs, and pricing.

  • Coordinate with planning and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Source for urgent or one-time purchases from the open market.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to propose cost-effective purchase options.

  • Handle returns, replacements, and quality issues with vendors.

  • Monitor and manage incoming materials and reschedule deliveries as needed.

  • Liaise with suppliers on excess PO cancellations and payment arrangements.

  • Process intercompany purchases and update order commitments in SAP.

  • Coordinate shipments and update delivery schedules for both Singapore and Malaysia entities.

  • Manage RFQs for subcontracted items and update purchasing information records.

  • Support any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.

  • At least 2 years of experience in an EMS/manufacturing environment, preferably with semiconductor materials.

  • Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to start work at short notice is preferred.
