Key Responsibilities
Perform all related purchasing functions, such as requesting quotations, evaluating offers, issuing purchase orders, and following up with delivery;
Research for the requested products both locally and overseas depending on calling ports, review quality, identify the most appropriate suppliers, determine availability, perform comparisons and negotiate pricing, and establish delivery patterns & timelines;
Work closely with vessels and management to monitor and improve the supply chain purchasing process, specifications, and requirements;
Candidate must have
Experience in purchasing of Maritime stores & consumables, preferably in a Ship Chandler business.
Knowledge of the international maritime industry will be a significant advantage.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgment
Self-driven and detail oriented with demonstrated proficiency in data management, analysis, and reporting
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Results oriented with the ability to work in a fast pace environment
