Purchasing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier management, from screening and evaluation to building long-term partnerships.

• Identify and develop new suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.

• Oversee inventory and expiration date management to minimize losses and improve turnover.

• Develop procurement and seasonal product mix strategies, ensuring timely availability of bestsellers.

• Manage product listings, promotions, and reporting for category operations.

• Analyze sales and profit data to control procurement costs and increase margins.

• Source new products, compare market prices, and maintain adequate stock levels.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience in food / fresh produce, with at least 2 years handling independent product categories.

• Familiarity with Dubai's major fruit and vegetable, seafood, meat, seasoning, and dry goods markets, with extensive resources to ensure diverse sourcing channels and competitive pricing.

• Strong supplier management, negotiation, and risk management skills.

• Familiar with wholesale and sourcing channels for fresh and frozen produce.

• Fluent in English and Chinese; additional languages an advantage. "We are seeking candidates proficient inChineseto effectively communicate withChinese-speaking clients."

• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
