A Purchasing & Inventory Supervisor oversees and hands-on the processes of acquiring goods and materials, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate also leads teams, develops purchasing strategies, and maintains supplier relationships.

The responsibilities of this role are:

Purchasing:

  • Managing the entire purchasing cycle, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to placing orders and tracking deliveries.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels, involving stock cycle count, and implementing inventory control procedures. And meeting inventory target set by superior.

Team Leadership:

  • Leading and supervising a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse, including storage, handling, and issuing of goods.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyzing inventory data and purchasing trends to identify areas for improvement, cost saving and cost optimization.

Compliance:

  • Ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

  • Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., supply chain management, logistics).
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory and purchasing management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
