Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Issue of PO and update in purchasing system

  • Shipment co-ordination with vendor, customer and shipping agents for import and export with knowledge of Bill of Lading, permits and BCA approval

  • Oversees stock control and support project materials delivery requirements

  • Maintain good working relationships with new and existing key suppliers to manage delivery and product quality

  • Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors

  • Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project

  • Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions

  • In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules

  • Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors

  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation

  • Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements

Job Requirements

  • Familiar with Materials, Machineries & Equipment in Construction Sector.

  • Minimum Diploma or its equivalent with minimum 3 years’ experience in Construction Sector Procurement Function

  • A team player with good leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual language required

  • 5-days work week

Candidates with more experience may be considered for more Senior positions.
