Job summary

A sourcing and procurement firm in Singapore is looking for a Sourcing Executive to identify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with 2D and 3D engineering drawings is essential, as is experience in a semiconductor environment. Competitive salary ranges from SGD 3,500 to SGD 4,000 depending on experience.

Position title : Sourcing Executive

Location: 2 Gambas Cres (Yishun / Canberra)

Working Days: Mon-Friday , 5 working days

Working hours : 9am-6pm

Salary : $3,500 to $4,000 (depends on experience)

Job Scopes & Responsibilities

  • Identifying and Evaluating Suppliers – Research and analyze potential suppliers, considering factors like pricing, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiating Contracts – Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and contract clauses.
  • Managing Supplier Relationships – Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and optimize sourcing strategies.
  • Ensuring Compliance – Adhere to all relevant regulations and internal policies related to procurement and sourcing.
  • Collaborating with Internal Teams – Work with other department, such as Sales, Finance, and Operations, to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
  • Developing and Implementing Sourcing Strategies – Propose and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Supporting Engineering - Collaborate with R&D and product teams to source materials and components for new product launches, ensuring supplier readiness and alignment with product specs including sourcing alternatives and inventory strategies to reduce operational disruption.
  • Cost Analysis - Perform detailed cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and ensure sourcing initiatives stay within budget.

Requirement:

  • Must be technically inclined and familiar with mechanical accessories and components.
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in relevant field.
  • Working experience in semi-conductor environment an advantage.
  • Able to read and understand both 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
  • Able to read and understand BOM and source accessories and components accordingly.
