Purchasing Executive

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Executive to join our team at PacMaK DB Naval Charterers & Consultants (Pte.) Ltd. in the Central Region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services to support our spares, transport and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Proactively source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, quality and delivery terms for all purchased goods and services

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from raising purchase orders to monitoring deliveries and resolving any issues

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, and make recommendations to optimise stock levels

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to understand their requirements and ensure timely fulfilment

• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and implement continuous improvements

• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimise inventory and drive cost savings

• Proficient in using procurement management software and data analysis tools

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field is highly desirable
