Job description

Job Requirement

1. Purchase supplies, equipment and services for the company departments as directed.

2. Implement procedures for the requisition, warehousing and distribution of materials, supplies and equipment

3. Contact vendors and suppliers regarding prices, discounts, product availability, deliveries and product quality issues

4. Obtain preliminary verbal price indications and confirmed written price quotations

5. Evaluate vendors’ capability, quality, reliability and price competitiveness

6. Track, check and verify the incoming shipment or delivery against the purchase order

7. Keep relevant parties such as the sections in Production Department informed of delivery schedules

8. Ensure goods received from vendors meet the required specifications, in-coming quality standards and pricing

9. Analyze trends in vendor pricing, sales activity and feedback to management

10. Verify accuracy of documentation and computerized purchasing records

11. Evaluate existing and potential suppliers; recommend and changes in suppliers based on the evaluation

12. Submit weekly and monthly reports

Assist in supervising and appraising junior staff in the department

Job Requirements

  1. Preferably with at least 2 years relevant experience in related field
  2. Must be good in handling inventory management with a strong sense of urgency and detail-oriented
  3. Ability to work under tight schedule and pressure
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels and external parties
  5. Personal planning, organising and time management skills
  6. Professional or Relevant Certificate
