A leading construction group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement process, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Procurement or Construction Management, coupled with a minimum of three years' experience in the construction industry. Key responsibilities include optimizing purchasing decisions and maintaining accurate inventory records to support various projects.
Job Description:
Manage the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Manage company and rental machinery, equipment, spare parts and transport for all projects.
Source and select reliable vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to optimize purchasing decisions.
Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with project management team and other stakeholders to meet project needs and deadlines.
Regularly review and update price lists and quotations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, and make recommendations to optimise stock levels
Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including pricing, inventory, and vendor performance for for ISO and other government body audits
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirement:
Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing role within the construction industry.
Proven track record of successful vendor management and negotiation.
Strong understanding of construction materials and equipment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with Synergix software is a plus.
