Job Scope:
- Procurement & Purchasing:
- Source and purchase goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Review purchase requisitions and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Process purchase orders, monitor delivery timelines, and track product receipt.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, price, and service.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve any delivery or quality-related issues.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory.
- Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for all purchased goods.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
- Budget Management:
- Ensure purchases stay within the allocated budget.
- Review purchase orders and invoices, ensuring they are aligned with budget and approval guidelines.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate regular reports.
- Prepare reports on stock levels, purchase trends, and supplier performance for management review.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments such as production, sales, and finance to align purchasing needs and requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or ITE certification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with basic procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
