Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels or Nitec
  • Relevant experience in Construction materials, machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good presentation, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Work well under pressure and able to work independently.

Job Description:

Procurement:

  • Providing prices for all materials included in project plans and drawings
  • Identifying potential suppliers and new products
  • Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials
  • Ensuring the flow of materials to maximise efficiency
  • Providing advice to the project estimator on the predicted cost of individual items
  • Liaising closely with QS at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided

Administrative:

  • Records of Assets and maintaining well‐organised work schedules for the stock take
  • Contacting a range of suppliers and sub‐contractors to obtain quotations
  • Collate survey report on the reliability of sub‐contractors and suppliers from project team
  • Ensuring compliance with the specifications, safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services
  • Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible with suppliers once a contract has been secured
  • Raising orders for supplies.
  • Assist to keep track and record of organisation logistics and machinery needs
  • Assist in daily coordination across departments
