A leading procurement firm in Singapore is seeking a procurement officer responsible for materials planning, purchase order management, and shipment monitoring. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Materials Planning:
Coordinate with relevant departments to forecast and plan material requirements based on demand and inventory levels.
Purchase Order (PO) Management:
Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure all POs are aligned with internal requirements and pricing agreements.
Rescheduling and Adjustments:
Reschedule orders based on changes in demand or delivery timelines.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to accommodate adjustments.
Supplier Delivery Schedule Updates:
Update and maintain accurate records of supplier delivery schedules.
Track order confirmations and expected delivery dates.
Shipment Monitoring:
Monitor supplier shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Follow up on delays, discrepancies, or urgent requirements.
Documentation and Paperwork:
Handle all related documentation such as PO filing, delivery orders, invoices, and GRNs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ad-hoc Duties:
Support the purchasing department in any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Good communication and negotiations skills
- Organize details-oriented, and able multitask in fast-paced environment
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice an added advantage
