Your Opportunity:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. This unique role offers a split shift: work in the office from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, then remotely from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and motivated, with a knack for managing orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. In this role, you’ll maintain strong supplier relationships, track orders, resolve delivery issues, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills are essential to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.

If you thrive in flexible work arrangements and are ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

You will be responsible for proactively tracking purchase orders from placement to delivery, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines and monitoring supplier performance to identify potential delays or issues. It will be essential to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of order status, delivery dates, and any changes. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers in the EU and US time zones, managing communication regarding order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies. Building and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers, following up on acknowledgements, shipping confirmations, and other relevant documentation will also be a key part of your role.

In this position, you will address and resolve potential delivery delays, shortages, or quality issues by collaborating with suppliers, internal teams (e.g., production, warehouse), and logistics providers to implement effective solutions. You will also communicate order status updates and potential delays to relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment within the purchasing team and providing necessary documentation across departments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining organized records, generating reports on order status and delivery performance, and ensuring accuracy within the procurement system. You may also be tasked with performing other related duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

What we're looking for:

  • Diploma or equivalent, with relevant vocational training or technical apprenticeship, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a purchaser, preferably within the aviation industry.

  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both customers and vendors.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

  • Solid MS Office skills; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
