Job description

Our client, a retails company, is currently seeking a Purchaser/Procurement Executive to join their team.

Job Details:

  • Basic Salary: $2800-$3500 (depends on experience)

  • Working Hour: Monday to Friday (8.30am-5.30pm)

  • Working Location: Serangoon (Central); Transport provided from Ang Mo Kio

  • 18 days AL, AWS and Variable Bonus

Job Description:

Product Sourcing & Purchasing

  • Look for new products and suppliers.

  • Gather product and pricing details to help with supplier negotiations.

  • Work with suppliers to make sure products arrive on time and promotions run smoothly.

Product Planning & Category Management

  • Help plan which products go into each category.

  • Choose product ranges based on what customers want and sales plans.

  • Check how product prices affect sales and profit.

Stock & Inventory Control

  • Keep an eye on stock levels to avoid having too much or too little.

  • Make sure popular items are restocked in time.

  • Plan ways to sell slow-moving products faster.

Sales & Promotion Support

  • Work with other teams to make sure promotions match product launches.

  • Help plan and run store events like renovations, new store openings, and back-to-school sales.

  • Support special sales events outside the store.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly reports on product sales and stock levels.

  • Track how long items have been in stock and when to reorder.

  • Visit stores regularly to make sure merchandising looks good and meets company standards.

  • Study market trends and check what competitors are doing.

Other Duties

  • Help with administrative tasks related to merchandising.

  • Give feedback on supplier performance and product quality.

  • Do other merchandising-related tasks as assigned by the manager.
