About the role

Lian Tong Electrical Engineering Private Limited, a leading provider of electrical engineering services, is seeking a dedicated Purchaser to join their team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services for our construction projects located in the Kaki Bukit East Region. This is a crucial position that supports the timely and cost-effective delivery of our services to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

• Liaise with project managers and site teams to identify and procure the necessary materials, equipment and services required for construction projects

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, delivery schedules and quality standards

• Manage the purchase order process, including raising orders, tracking deliveries and ensuring invoices are accurate

• Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities and provide regular reports to management

• Continuously research the market to identify new suppliers and sources of materials to enhance the company's supply chain

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations governing procurement practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, in the construction industry

• Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Proficient in the use of procurement software and Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment and services, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards

• A team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
