A leading company in the electronics industry is seeking a Procurement Manager to manage procurement activities effectively. This role involves supplier management, demand planning, and quality assurance of stocks. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, strong negotiation skills, and experience in purchasing.
Job Description:
Responsible for the effective management and control of all procurement activities.
Liaising with local and foreign suppliers on overall purchase process such as delivery date, shipment details, forwarder arrangement, etc
Ensure overall quality & quantity management of stock, cost, product ranges, stock rotation, turnover, regulatory & compliances.
Work with different department to do demand planning and ordering of inventory.
Liaise with warehouse for incoming and outgoing shipment.Calculate the freight or Landed cost after order receive.
Build rapport with suppliers and consistently monitor their performance.
Evaluate and negotiate contract terms on pricing and product quality.
Conduct verification and match delivery order, purchase order and other documentation for finance processing.
Provide Administrative support to the Purchasing/Sales Department.
Assist in handling inter-related companies & customers enquiries & orders.
Any other admin ad-hoc duties such as filling and updating of all purchasing-related documentation
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, NITEC or equivalent qualifications.
Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of vendor sourcing practices.
High level of initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum 2 years of purchasing experiences, preferably in the electronics industry
Able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
