Job summary

A leading consultancy is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator in Singapore. The role involves handling vendor management, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and preparing purchase orders. Candidates should possess an ITE/Diploma and have relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

2-3 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry required.
Experience with plastic products is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Coordinate timely delivery and monitor vendor performance.
Prepare and manage purchasing orders and verify documentation accuracy.
Work closely with departments to ensure quality materials are delivered.

Follow up purchases to ensure timely delivery, collect and check delivery performance of automotive vendors.
Maintain & update approved vendor list.
Responsible for purchasing function.
Check purchasing document to ensure correctness and adequacy.
Prepare, insurance and monitoring requisitions & purchase order, ensure that purchase order balance is accurate and parts were provided on time.
Visit supplier as needed to verify and check any problem/ issues encountered related to delivery.
Coordinate and act as mediator between supplier and planner concerning forecast and delivery plan as per customer required quantity as schedule.
Recommend quality improvement measures to immediate superiors & prepare material plan.
Work closely with other departments to ensure quality parts were delivered and continuous flow of material as per production requirement.
Monitor material inventory and ensure safe stock of materials as per provided customer forecast and production schedule.
