As a Procurement Specialist in the renewable energy sector, your main responsibility will involve developing and executing procurement strategies in line with project objectives and company guidelines. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers and engineers, to determine procurement requirements, specifications, and timelines for renewable energy projects.Your role will also entail identifying, assessing, and choosing suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors who meet sustainability and quality criteria. You will be responsible for creating, issuing, and overseeing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Invitations to Tender (ITTs). Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, such as pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, and compliance metrics, will be a crucial aspect of your job.Monitoring supplier performance, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring adherence to quality, reliability, and regulatory standards will be part of your daily tasks. You will be expected to conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and technological advancements related to renewable energy materials and services.Implementing risk management strategies to proactively address procurement-related risks, like supply chain disruptions and price fluctuations, will be essential. Furthermore, ensuring that all procurement activities comply with legal regulations, company policies, and ethical standards is a key component of your role.Additionally, you will be responsible for generating procurement reports and delivering presentations to management.
