A leading company is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Public Relations Specialist to bolster its public image and media presence. Responsibilities include maintaining media relations, managing crisis communication, and overseeing award submissions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of relevant experience, along with excellent communication and project management skills.
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Public Relations Specialist / Senior Public Relations Specialist to strengthen our brand’s public image and media presence. In this role, you will lead and support the execution of public relations activities, including media outreach, press material distribution, crisis communication, award submissions, and brand asset management. Your efforts will be critical in shaping public perception and enhancing brand visibility across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations & Public Relations Content Distribution
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, and thought leadership content.
Pitch story ideas and secure media coverage that aligns with brand messaging.
Track media coverage and provide detailed reports and insights.
Crisis Communication Support
Support the creation and implementation of crisis communication plans.
Draft holding statements, FAQs, and media responses under guidance.
Monitor public sentiment and media narratives to inform response strategies.
Award Submissions & Recognition Initiatives
Research and identify award opportunities relevant to the company’s goals.
Lead or support the preparation and submission of award entries.
Manage timelines and coordinate cross-functional input for submissions.
Brand & Communication Materials Management
Maintain and update core brand communication tools, including media kits, executive bios, and company fact sheets.
Ensure all public-facing materials are consistent with brand tone, style, and messaging.
Collaborate with design and content teams to keep assets up-to-date and aligned with current campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant experience in public relations, media, or corporate communications.
Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and managing press outreach.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Experience in handling sensitive communications and crisis scenarios.
Familiarity with Public Relations tools such as Cision, Farseer, or similar platforms.
