The Responsibilities:
Develop media relations strategy, seeking high level placement in print, broadcast and online media and all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads that deliver sales and customer retention
Collaborate with team members and external agency as well as industry experts and media relations to drive public relations opportunities and develop content
Research, write and edit press releases, customer communication and other related documents.
Prepare thought leaders/media spokesperson for interviews through media training and the creation of messaging and briefing documents
Respond to outside media requests for information as appropriate
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends
Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand
Create and manage effective metrics for tracking results and success, and report back regularly to manager and business unit leadership
The Requirement:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Expert Knowledge of journalism/content creation, media relations, social media marketing and branding
Writing, editing and proof-reading skills for materials including media pitches, messaging documents and press releases
Independence in applying professional expertise
Candidate needs to be able to work fast and effectively in a fast-paced environment, as he/she will be the primary contact point between Sales and Marketing teams
Candidate needs to have good and sound understanding of both online and offline retail marketing environment
