The Regional PR team at Shopee manages Shopee’s external communications across the region, working with our local teams to strengthen our brand reputation and to mitigate external risks.
This role calls for a passion for the tech industry, communications, as well as familiarity with the business and media landscapes in which the company operates. You will be supporting the planning and driving of regional initiatives, guiding country teams to develop core narratives from both a consumer and corporate lens. You will also be working cross-functionally with various regional and local stakeholders from PR, marketing, operations and beyond.
As such, developing an in-depth understanding of Shopee's dynamic business is crucial, so that you can translate this understanding into creative and engaging strategies to communicate the brand story to our external audiences.
Job Description:
Conceptualise and develop communications assets that support Shopee's regional business objectives and brand reputation-building initiatives. These may include press releases, media pitches, media Q&As, short-form content, LinkedIn posts, etc
Support engagement with key regional media
Work with local PR teams on their communications initiatives and content
Support insights and measurement requirements of the team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and above in any field
1 - 2 years of experience in PR or communications (in-house / agency)
Strong writer with a keen interest in integrated communications
Experience working with fast-growing companies in the technology sector in the Southeast Asia region will be a distinct advantage
Passionate about internet and technology
Able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and thrive in a diverse and dynamic environment
Able to manage multiple projects with agility
Excellent communicator and meticulous with an eye for detail
