We are looking for a strategic, business-minded PR and Brand Manager to lead our external communications and sustainability narrative. This is not a traditional PR role – we are looking for someone who understands how communication drives business value and societal impact, and who can think beyond media/influencer relations and press releases.
This is a high-visibility position charged with accelerating strategic growth for our brand.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Growth
- Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy (consumer, hiring, corporate news) aligned with business goals
- Advise senior leadership on brand positioning, reputation management and stakeholder engagement
- Lead stakeholder engagement including media, stylists, influencers, brand partners, corporate partners
- Lead crisis and change communications with clarity, collaborating with internal stakeholders
Sustainability Storytelling
- Lead the articulation of UNIQLO’s sustainability initiatives (LifeWear = a new industry that balances sustainability and business growth) across stakeholders
- Drive and create compelling content for sustainability campaigns, partnerships and messaging
Business Management Insight
- Monitor business performance, KPIs to inform strategic communications and narrative development
- Understand and articulate the commercial drivers behind business decisions; link communication efforts to measurable business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. merchandise planning, store operations) to ensure communication strategies are grounded in business context
Team & Talent Leadership
- Manage and grow a cross-functional team beyond PR team’s direct reports, including the rest of the marketing team, inspiring non-linear career paths and supporting emerging talent
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with a strong sense of purpose
What We’re Looking For
- Beyond-PR mindset: Candidates with only traditional PR agency or in-house PR experience will not be a fit
- Proven ability to connect communication with business strategy, impact metrics and performance outcomes
- Ability to form an ideal and driven results; innovate, challenge norms
- Go-getter, driven, operational
- Experienced people manager with strong leadership and influencing skills in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Communications
- MBA is a plus
