Public Policy Analyst/Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough research on trends in the policies and industry changes.
2. Analyze diverse datasets from sources like government reports, academic research, and industry publications.
3. Create clear reports and presentations, collaborating with communications teams to convey research findings effectively.
4. Summarize key findings and evaluate their effects on the policies.
5. Build and maintain a rich knowledge base of research and analytical insights.
6. Develop databases, spreadsheets, and analytical tools to monitor and interpret data.
7. Ensure data integrity, quality, and security with careful attention.
8. Use data visualization techniques to make insights clearer and more impactful.
9. Prepare clear, concise reports and briefings to communicate research outcomes and recommendations.
10. Create engaging presentations and visualizations for various audiences.
11. Work with communications teams to shape effective messages and supporting materials.
12. Foster relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their research needs.
13. Present research findings and recommendations to external stakeholders.
14. Organize and facilitate meetings to gather feedback and insights.

Requirements

1. Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Relations, Public Policy).
2. Over 3 years of experience in research or data analysis.
3. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data management and analysis software.
4. Understanding of public policy issues and labor market trends.
5. Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
