We are looking for a dedicated Advocacy (Stories Curator) and Events Officer to:

  1. Develop and execute public education initiatives to increase awareness, donor recruitment, and fundraising.
  2. Identify and interview donors, patients, volunteers, and stakeholders to gather impactful stories and develop a repository of multimedia stories for advocacy and promotional purposes.
  3. Share stories effectively across various platforms, including social media, websites, and publications, and monitor their impact.
  4. Manage third-party fundraisers and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  5. Plan, organize, and execute BMDP’s events to raise awareness and support donor recruitment and fundraising efforts.
  6. Engage supporters through regular communication, foster relationships with partners, and develop funding proposals and sponsorship opportunities.
  7. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements such as WMDA, PDPA, and the Charity Act.
  8. Support recruitment drives and demonstrate BMDP’s core values and competencies.

Job competencies include effective communication, managing complexity, resourcefulness, planning, and meticulousness. Technical skills required are knowledge of marketing channels, digital and traditional media management, event planning, and understanding of fundraising guidelines.

Job requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Marketing Communications, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for diploma holders, or being a fresh graduate for degree holders.
