Job Summary:

The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and other guest-facing spaces. The role ensures a welcoming, clean, and pleasant environment for all guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain hotel public areas including:
    Lobbies and entrances
    Hallways and corridors
    Elevators and stairwells
    Public restrooms
    Lounge areas and business centers
  • Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
  • Restock supplies in public restrooms (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
  • Follow hotel health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Use and store cleaning materials and equipment safely and properly.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or events when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
  • Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in hospitality is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good physical condition; ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
