Job description

Proprietary Futures Trader – Agricultural (Singapore, HK or China)

Join us at AP Capital as a Proprietary Futures Trader – Agricultural. We are seeking an experienced trader to build and lead our trading desk, focusing on agricultural commodities. Location preferences are Singapore, with options for HK or China.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute commodity arbitrage trading strategies, including China vs. Global arbitrage.
  2. Manage arbitrage trading for agricultural futures and commodity futures, such as grains, vegetable oils, soy, etc., both offshore and onshore.
  3. Analyze holdings, monitor brokerage and bank funds, and report on monthly positions.
  4. Conduct industry research, monitor trends, and prepare insightful reports.
  5. Identify and capitalize on market investment opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. 3-5+ years of experience in futures or securities finance, with a focus on arbitrage and a proven PnL track record.
  2. Strong market insight, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  3. Proactive, responsible, and team-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
  4. Ability to adapt to diverse environments and manage work pressure.
  5. Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related fields.
