Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.

This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense, and aerospace, as well as research and development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical transfer of products/processes to the receiving site from a cross-site location.
  • Support the product transfer project plan, including preparing one-time investment cost estimates and calculating savings generated from the project.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the receiving site for product transfers prior to project announcement. Continue supporting various functions and departments during the execution and closure phases.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively, acting as the catalyst for the entire product transfer team across different functions and departments.
  • Collaborate with sending sites to prepare validation strategies for all processes, and prepare process, product validation, and technical reports.
  • Oversee the transfer of ERP master data, BOM, and routing, updating them to meet local requirements. Upload and test the data in the ERP system prior to production release.
  • Ensure all relevant technical information and documentation are in place for product validation and transfer, in compliance with QMS requirements.
  • Identify barriers and develop solutions to remove them, enhance technical capabilities, and support the transformation into a high-performance organization.
  • Ensure all technical issues are addressed and resolved within the agreed project timeline and budget, in compliance with all relevant internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the receiving site, coaching and mentoring the production team during the product transfer.
  • Participate in inter-site meetings and update stakeholders on the status of technical assignments and activities.
  • Support the project manager in organizing internal meetings.
  • Escalate issues to the project manager/leader or relevant stakeholders when challenges cannot be resolved and may lead to deviations in project KPIs.
  • Perform day-to-day assignments related to the position or as agreed with the project manager.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Optics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Diploma holders with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a project technical leader or process engineer with leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Risk management skills, with the ability to analyze and mitigate risks.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Data analysis skills, including knowledge of statistical tools.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to prepare, develop, plan, execute, monitor, control, report, and communicate effectively.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Adaptability to cope with changing requirements during the course of the project.
