Job summary

Nestle R&D, Singapore is seeking a Senior Project Specialist to lead end-to-end Innovation and Renovation (I&R) projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve the business case and ROI targets.

The role emphasises resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and coaching across R&D units, with PMI exposure considered a plus. A minimum of 7 years in PM and 3 years in R&D is preferred, with hybrid work in Jurong, Singapore.

Qualifications

• Has a minimum 7 years PM experience dealing with new technologies or improving current processes and a successful track record of implementation.
• Has a minimum of 3 year experience in R&D.
• Experience in Operations and/or technical/commercial function in SBU would be a plus.
• Has demonstrated leadership of small to medium sized groups and strong decision making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills are desirable.

• Deliver concepts, products, processes or systems with defined quality on time and cost as end-to-end PM following I2L WoW.
• Lead end-to-end projects and contribute to future commercial success.

The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for the efficient, effective and flawless end-to-end management of Innovation and Renovation (I&R) projects. The role will plan and lead I&R projects from start to finish, orchestrating cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to achieve defined project key success criteria and deliver against the business case. This includes ensuring that invested resources generate the expected return on investment through flawless execution, while promoting the I2L mindset across all project activities.

A day in the life of a Senior Project Specialist..

1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Deliver concepts/product(s)/process(es)/system(s)/solution(s) with defined quality at agreed time and cost as E2E Project Manager following I2L WoW.
• Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by end to end Project Management
• Effectively manage scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders
• Anticipate issues and provide alternative solution(s)
• Is actively involved in the strategic plans and pipelines for related projects

2. PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:

• In a matrix like organization:
• Ensure adequate resources and competence levels, manage the resources (including budget) allocated to the project
• In a project-based organization:
• Provide effective leadership to the project team

3. COACHING AND SHARING:

• Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, within the PTC and across R&D Units, Technical and Business Units and with external partners.
• Identify needs for training in project management within R&D and outside (where appropriate, e.g. I2L)
• PMI certification is an advantage.

4. STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:

• Interface between stakeholders, interact with business partners

What Will Make You Successful...

• Has a minimum 7 years PM experience dealing with new technologies or improving current processes and a successful track record of implementation
• Has a minimum of 3 year experience in R&D
• Experience in Operations and/or technical/commercial function in SBU (through missions or assignments) would be a plus
• Has successfully managed small to medium sized groups of people
• Has demonstrated the courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems
• Has proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees.)
• Good negotiating skills would be a plus
• Has experience in the briefing process
