Naval Group Far East Pte Ltd is seeking a Project Quality Engineer to join its operations.

Job Title: Project Quality Engineer (ref. 1134)

The Project Quality Engineer reports hierarchically to the Quality Manager and functionally to the Head of Industrial Bids and Project Management Office. The role ensures that services, incoming materials, components, and products meet Naval Defence or project-specific requirements before acceptance and delivery. Responsibilities include quality requirement specification, inspection, testing, compliance verification, supplier quality management, and customer quality assurance to maintain high standards of reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Quality and Compliance

  • Adapt and complete the Naval Group Quality Assurance Plan to the specific scope assigned to the Project Manager,
  • Develop and manage the Conformity Process Plan (CPP), including oversight and verification of compliance,
  • Establish and oversee the Customer Acceptance process, tailoring inspection and test plans to meet project-specific specifications,
  • Manage the Non-Conformity (NCs) process, including handling customer waiver requests and claims,
  • Prepare internal declarations of conformity,
  • Support the Project Manager’s strategy by measuring and presenting quality KPIs, identifying improvement actions, and developing mitigation plans,
  • Assist in defining and executing the program monitoring strategy, including audits and risk identification, with prompt alerts to the project team,
  • Participate in client reviews and meetings in coordination with the Quality Program Manager,
  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.

2. Quality Assurance Management

  • Support the QHSE Manager in developing and executing the Business Management System (BMS) quality procedures for operational excellence,
  • Perform quality assessments for critical bids and evaluate supplier quality in collaboration with the procurement department,
  • Apply the company's Non-Conformity Management policy and implement quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, QRQC, FMECA),
  • Conduct training sessions, facilitate quality network activities, and oversee non-conformity reviews, ensuring timely implementation of remedial and corrective actions.
