Job description

Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real world applications. The candidate is responsible for projects claim administration, submission and projects finance support for ERI@N.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Submission of claim and audit report to funder on a timely basis
  • Liaise with external parties such as auditor, funder
  • Assist in grant audit
  • Creation of account/variation request in RISE system
  • Monitor fund budget and provide assistance in procurement activities in the programme
  • Presentation of monthly claim status
  • Compliance monitoring for regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with funding agencies, PI, Profs, researchers, peers, etc on projects related matters
  • Work with PI on budgeting, KPIs, milestones and finance matters
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, accounting or business administration
  • At least one year experience in similar role is preferable
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workloads for maximum effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities to increase efficiency
  • Motivated self-starter and fast learner, ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Persistent, driven and goal-oriented
  • Strong MS Office knowledge with advanced excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English for research purposes
  • Demonstrate strong commitment and observe professional ethics
  • Experience in using SAP is a plus
  • Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
