Job summary

NTU's Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) invites applications for a Project Officer role to advance membrane and separation technologies for desalination, resource recovery, and decarbonization. You will work on pilot-scale and lab-scale systems, contribute to modelling and data publication, and assist in grant proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Excellent report writing skill.

• Relevant research experience in membrane technology and separation technologies.
• Relevant research experience in scaling up electrochemical water technology.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong responsibility for research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, decarbonization, resource recovery, etc.
• Assist in design, optimization, construction, commissioning and operation of pilot-scale and lab-scale systems.
• Assist in membrane and separation process modelling, including ML-based approaches.
• Publish research data and prepare project progress reports.
• Assist in preparation of grant proposals.

We are looking for a Project Officer to conduct research on membrane and separation technology for desalination, resource recovery, and decarbonization .

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, decarbonization, resource recovery, etc.
• Assist in the design, optimization, construction, commissioning and operation of membrane-based desalination and water reclamation pilot-scale and lab-scale systems.
• Assist in conducting membrane and separation process modelling, module-scale desalination system modelling, including conventional modelling and machine learning based modelling.
• Publish research data, prepare project progress reports.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals.

Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.
