Job summary

NTU's Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) seeks a Research Fellow to advance membrane and separation technology for desalination, resource recovery, and decarbonisation. The role covers design, construction, and operation of pilot-scale and lab-scale systems and modelling work.

Applicants should hold a PhD in a related field, with an excellent publications record and strong report writing, presentation, and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in a related field from a reputable university.
• Excellent journal publication record and report writing skills.
• Experience in design, optimisation, construction and operation of membrane systems.
• Experience in membrane/separation process modelling including ML-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct membrane-related projects for desalination and resource recovery.
• Design, optimise, construct, commission and operate pilot-scale and lab-scale systems.
• Model membrane and separation processes including ML-based approaches.
• Publish data and prepare project progress reports.
• Mentor junior students on research projects.
