• Bachelor degree in Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in biomaterials, thin film coatings, and basic material characterization (SEM, EDX, XRD).
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and aseptic handling.
• Proficiency with data analysis and graphing tools for research work.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct literature reviews and generate periodic updates.
• Assist in setting up and conducting experiments per protocols.
• Carry out assays and analysis to optimize coating thickness, uniformity, and delivery effectiveness.
• Conduct biochemical and biological assays to assess bioavailability and cytotoxicity.
• Ensure health and safety regulations compliance in all research activities.
• Manage laboratory inventory, track supplies and procurement.
• Support coordination within the multidisciplinary team and with external collaborators.
• Assist with periodic progress reports required by funding agencies.
• Disseminate research results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

About NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory

NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is a collaboration between Nanofilm Technologies International Limited (\"Nanofilm\", \"NTI\") , Nanyang Technological University (\"NTU\") and supported by Singapore under RIE2025. Project Officer

The selected candidate will innovate hybridized composite materials and thin film coatings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough literature review and generate periodic updates


• Assist in setting up and conducting experiments according to research protocols.


• Carry out assays and analysis to optimize and control functional performance (e.g. coating thickness, uniformity, assess active agents delivery effectiveness, degradation profile, mechanical strength etc.)


• Carry out biochemical and biological assays to assess bioavailability and cytotoxicity of the developed products.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of the research work


• Manage logistical issues, including laboratory inventory, track supplies and procurement.


• Support coordination and communication within the multidisciplinary team and with external collaborators.


• Asist with the preparation of periodic progress report as required by funding agency


• Disseminate research results in reputable peer-reviewed journals and/or international conference

Job Requirements

• Academic Qualifications: A bachelor degree in Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.


• Experience in biomaterials, thin film coatings, and basic material characterization (e.g., SEM, EDX, XRD).


• Experience in mammalian cell culture and aseptic handling.


• Familiarity with graphing software (e.g., Origin/OriginPro, GraphPad Prism) for data analysis.


• Familiarity with cytotoxicity and osteogenic differentiation assay (preferred).


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, interdisciplinary research environment.


• Ability to take initiative to improve processes and troubleshoot problems.


• Good communication and writing skills.


• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate tasks across teams with minimal supervision.
