Project Manager, Trade Finance, 1-year renewable contract (Banking)
We are hiring a seasoned Project Manager with strong domain knowledge in Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Trade Operations to drive business and technology initiatives within a leading bank. This role requires strong project delivery capabilities, stakeholder management, and understanding of the trade finance product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery of trade finance and supply chain finance initiatives, ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
- Manage cross-functional project teams including operations, IT, compliance, and external vendors.
- Define and maintain project plans, track milestones, manage risks and issues, and ensure effective project governance.
- Coordinate with business users to gather requirements, validate scope, and support solution design.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, and post-implementation support.
- Prepare regular project status updates for stakeholders and steering committees.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and auditable.
- Support change management, training, and communications to end-users and impacted departments.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience in banking or financial services, ideally within Trade Finance or Transaction Banking.
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance products, including LC, BG, Documentary Collections, Open Account, and Supply Chain Financing.
- Familiarity with international trade rules (UCP600, ISP98, URC522).
- Proven experience in managing system enhancements, implementations, or regulatory change projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology teams.
- Highly organized, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
