Job summary

Sanofi Aventis Singapore Pte. Ltd is seeking a Project Manager – Smart Factory to lead the deployment of strategic Smart Factory and digital manufacturing initiatives on site in Singapore.

You will manage end-to-end projects and act as an End-to-End IMS expert, integrating MES, Data Historian, OT connectivity and other digital systems to enable a connected, reliable manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Smart Factory projects from planning through implementation and deployment, ensuring delivery in accordance with timelines, scope, budget, global core models and deployment standards.
• Own overall project planning, schedule, cost, scope, resources, risks and dependencies, with mitigation and escalation.
• Lead project governance and stakeholder communication across site and global teams.
• Partner with users and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solutions meet operational needs.
• Drive user adoption and change management with communication, training and readiness for implementation.
• Manage project priorities and backlog to focus on critical deliverables and risks.
• Establish effective project execution routines with regular team check-ins and action follow-ups.
• Provide technical leadership for end-to-end manufacturing system integration and connectivity.
• Lead MES-related implementation for new products, production setups, CAPAs, and upgrades.
• Configure, optimize and support MES, Data Historian and OT Connectivity systems.
• Ensure data completeness and compliance in MES and Data Historian systems.
• Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues to minimize downtime.
• Provide SME support for deviation investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure site implementation aligns with global architecture and standards.
• Build site capability through knowledge transfer and upskilling.

Job description

The Project Manager – Smart Factory will lead the deployment and implementation of strategic Smart Factory and digital manufacturing initiatives at site. The role is responsible for managing projects end-to-end while ensuring alignment with global standards, core models, delivery frameworks and site manufacturing requirements.

In addition to project leadership, the role will serve as an End-to-End Integrated Manufacturing Systems (IMS) expert, supporting the integration of MES, Data Historian, OT connectivity, equipment and other digital manufacturing systems to enable a connected, reliable and sustainable Smart Factory environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Deployment

• Lead and coordinate Smart Factory projects from planning through implementation and deployment, ensuring delivery in accordance with agreed timelines, scope, budget, global core models and deployment standards.
• Own overall project planning, schedule, cost, scope, resources, risks and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation where required.
• Lead project governance and stakeholder communication across site and global teams, including regular project reviews, Steering Committee updates and decision-making forums.
• Partner closely with users and business stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solutions meet operational needs, representing users throughout design, development, implementation and execution.
• Drive user adoption and change management, ensuring appropriate communication, training and readiness for successful implementation of new solutions.
• Manage project priorities and backlog, ensuring resources remain focused on the most critical deliverables and risks.
• Establish effective project execution routines, including regular team check-ins, progress reviews and follow-up of actions, issues and mitigation plans.

Smart Factory & Integrated Manufacturing Systems

• Provide technical leadership for end-to-end manufacturing system integration and connectivity, including the development and oversight of required system configurations and coding.
• Lead MES-related implementation for new products, new production setups, CAPAs, system enhancements and upgrades, ensuring right-first-time qualification and alignment with business requirements.
• Configure, optimise and support MES, Data Historian and OT Connectivity systems, enabling effective integration between manufacturing equipment and digital systems.
• Ensure manufacturing and equipment data required for new production setups is complete, accurate and compliant within MES and Data Historian systems in accordance with established protocols.
• Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues to minimise downtime, maintain production continuity and continuously improve IMS performance.
• Provide SME support for deviation investigations and root-cause analysis, supporting effective resolution of system-related issues.
• Ensure site implementation remains aligned with global Smart Factory architecture, design guidelines and technical standards.
• Build long-term site capability through knowledge transfer, coaching and technical upskilling on integrated manufacturing systems.
• Participate in global Smart Factory and digital manufacturing networks, sharing lessons learned, best practices and supporting global initiatives as required.

Key Interfaces

The role will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Automation, Digital/IT, Quality, Validation, MSAT, site leadership, global Smart Factory teams and external technology partners to ensure successful project execution and sustainable implementation of digital manufacturing solutions.
