Job description:

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of one large project or multiple small projects within a business domain or across functions. He/She ensures the project is well planned, on track, resolves issues promptly, and mitigates risks early to avoid failure. He/She leads cross-functional teams, collaborates with business users, internal and external teams, and vendors to ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and time, with quality. Regular progress updates are provided to stakeholders and management, with issues escalated timely. The role also involves annual work planning and budget estimation for new demands.

The ideal candidate possesses strong project and people management skills, is confident in leading large or multiple projects, and drives teams in a structured manner to meet business objectives. They are committed to excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing. Excellent communication, negotiation, resilience, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder engagement are essential. Adaptability to change and ownership with integrity are also required.

Role & Responsibilities
Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks
  1. Project Management Planning
    • Plan and allocate manpower resources required for projects to meet objectives.
    • Manage procurement activities, including scope and funding approvals.
    • Lead and manage project teams, including users, external teams, and vendors, to meet project goals within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
    • Establish and maintain the project management framework in line with Quality Management System procedures.
    • Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan covering scope, objectives, assumptions, success factors, governance, vendor management, schedule, deliverables, budget, risks, communication, and issues.
    • Provide timely updates on project progress, issues, risks, resources, and budgets to stakeholders.
    • Manage project financials, including budget utilization and cash flow.
  2. Project Scope Management & Change Control
    • Develop detailed requirements and deliverables within scope.
    • Establish change control procedures and approval processes.
    • Manage scope changes and track issues arising from scope creep or missing scope.
    • Assess impacts of scope changes on budget, resources, and schedule, with approvals prior to implementation.
  3. Project Time Management
    • Develop detailed project schedules with resource assignment.
    • Identify dependencies and critical paths.
    • Monitor and drive project activities to ensure timely delivery.
    • Manage schedule slippages and adjust plans to meet overall objectives.
Requirements
  • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with SAP implementation in SAP HCM, Payroll, and SuccessFactors.
  • Understanding of SAP best practices.
  • Familiarity with Human Capital business processes and industry practices.
  • Good understanding of technology and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with PMO teams, cross-functional collaboration, and project planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills with stakeholder and vendor engagement experience.
  • University Degree in Information Technology or related field.
