Lead a team comprising engineers with different technological and domain skill sets to ensure effective and efficient development, implementation, and ongoing operations and maintenance of projects to meet contractual requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and prepare implementation strategies to meet key project milestones such as delivery, tests, and payment milestones.
Develop Project Management Plans including risk management plans to ensure effective project management and delivery.
Ensure that all projects and products are delivered with the required quality and that appropriate levels of testing and technical governance are carried out in accordance with internal standards and contractual requirements.
Lead and manage project team members, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects on schedule and within budget while meeting project requirements.
Responsible for vendor management including procurement management and contract management to ensure purchase orders and contract terms and conditions are aligned with our obligations to customers and to mitigate any gaps in a prudent manner.
Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with customers to ensure project teams are kept fully informed about project progress, tasks, action plans, and deadlines.
Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues, risks, dependencies, and impediments that may impact successful project delivery.
Ensure that project progress is reported accurately and timely to all stakeholders and project teams.
Effective stakeholder management to set the right expectations throughout the project.
Keep abreast of relevant technological developments in order to improve and stay effective in the role.
Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
More than 7 years of experience in Project Management of large-scale projects with good technical knowledge on .Net, Java, J2EE, Application Servers, Databases, etc. are preferred.
Customer-oriented and a team player with the ability to effectively lead and motivate team members towards common objectives.
A self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and tight schedules with a positive and proactive attitude to anticipate challenges and resolve issues.
Strong competency and experience in managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.
Proficient with Microsoft Project or other project management reporting tools.
Certifications in Project Management such as CSM and/or PMP are preferred.
Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
Experienced in managing projects in the public sector.
Experienced in managing Agile implementation is preferred.
