Reporting directly to top management, you will have the overall responsibility and authority for the effective management and timely execution of the construction projects.
To lead and manage a team of project engineers with responsibilities in the project management of infrastructure and facilities planning & development.
Ensure that all aspects meet the government regulations and standards, including safety of works, inspections and testing of equipment and machinery, training needs of staff.
Control and monitor work progress and ensure work quality.
Oversee the effective management of project activities to assure timely delivery and low wastage.
Overall planning and controlling of the cost of project execution.
Manage and lead a group of engineers.
Overall coordination of the work progress of large and complex projects.
Coordination with other departments on issues affecting project works.
Liaise with government/Statutory Authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers, and others.
Provide timely project progress reporting to management.
Detect project problems and ensure effective corrective measures are executed.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in project management.
Working experience in the local building/construction industry preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
Possess excellent interpersonal, people management, good communication, and negotiation skills and possess strong leadership qualities.
Efficient, strong analytical skills, and able to work independently.
Excellent team spirit and able to lead project team towards project completion on time.
