Overview
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of HVAC-related projects. They manage all phases of HVAC system installation, maintenance, and upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, scope, cost estimates, and resource allocation. Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of HVAC projects.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor and control project budgets to ensure costs remain within the approved budget. Ensure that resources are used efficiently, and that change orders are properly handled.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of subcontractors and other professionals. Provide direction, support, and performance monitoring to ensure project success.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure that they meet project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance and Safety: Ensure all HVAC work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards. Implement safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment and minimize risks.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate issues. Manage challenges and unexpected situations, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Communication and Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact, providing project updates addressing concerns, and maintaining strong relationships. Ensure expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all aspects of the project, including contracts, drawings, schedules, and invoices. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any technical, operational, or client-related issues that arise during the course of the project to ensure the project’s smooth execution.

Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent. Candidates without the required qualifications but with adequate experience in a similar position may apply.
- At least 5 years of experience in HVAC project management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing large HVAC installations and upgrades.
- HVAC certifications and project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Demonstration of personal commitment and curiosity to be involved in continuously upgrading oneself through various learning channels will be an advantage.
Experience & Competency
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Project management skills, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- A capable leader with integrity, passion, knowledge and drive for improvements.
- Knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Able to manage/execute multiple projects concurrently with minimum supervision.
- Competency in implementing Singapore standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite applications is a pre-requisite.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Able to perform work in the Casino i.e. should not be included in the Casino Exclusion program.
