Job summary

HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP INNOVATION CENTER IN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a senior engineer to drive digital maintenance software development. You will collaborate with global teams, IoT/PLC engineers, and data scientists to streamline maintenance with AI-driven solutions.

You will lead agile squads, develop roadmaps, and ensure end-to-end software delivery from planning to monitoring, across Singapore and beyond. Strong Scrum and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of technical and deployment experience in software applications.
• 8+ years engineering experience including project management, with 3+ years in software development.
• Strong Agile Scrum experience and proficiency with Jira/Confluence.
• Proven ability to lead change management and software deployments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to gather customer needs, practices, data governance and maintenance use cases.
• Develop digital maintenance applications including LLMs and predictive maintenance solutions.
• Lead Scrum teams or act as Product Owner for deployment of maintenance software.
• Design end-to-end software applications based on user requirements, conducting technical assessments and driving delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical playbooks and standards.

Your Mission

This position is responsible for serving as a key expert in the development of digital maintenance software solutions. You will work closely with maintenance teams, software developers, IoT/PLC engineers, process engineers, and data scientists to leverage technology to improve, streamline, and automate maintenance processes.You will lead an agile squad in planning, application development, implementation, and monitoring of these technologies in Singapore and globally. You will bring experience in digital transformation, application solution development, and a strong understanding of AI and maintenance solutions available in the market.

What To Expect

[Project Leadership]

• Collaborate with global teams to gather Voice of the Customer, software practices, data governance requirements, and maintenance-related business use cases.
• Interface with various corporate functional areas and prepare technical documents, presentations, and reports.

[Technology Roadmap Development]

• Develop digital applications for maintenance, including LLMs, predictive maintenance solutions, and technology roadmaps.
• Responsible for application software design lifecycle related to maintenance use cases.
• Lead maintenance-related application deployment as part of a Scrum team or as a Product Owner.
• Lead the design of end-to-end software applications based on user requirements, serving as a Scrum Product Owner while conducting technical assessments and driving project delivery.
• Manage Scrum teams and software development activities, fostering agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
• Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and AI solutions for maintenance use cases.
• Collaborate with industrial and IT teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions across both OT and IT environments.

[Technical Leadership & Collaboration]

• Act as a technical reference and hands-on contributor across maintenance digital initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with IoT/PLC engineers and domain experts.
• Contribute to documentation, design decisions, and technical standards through playbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers through hands-on guidance, code reviews, and technical discussions.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or at least 10 years of relevant technical and software application deployment experience.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in the industry, including project management experience, and at least 3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects for accelerated sites and collaborate closely with cross-functional squads.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering and deploying AI solutions, with proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Proven track record in leading change management initiatives and software application implementations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
